Ashlee Walmsley: The most beautiful ladies I've ever had the privelege of knowing. The things I've watched them do and the births I've seen them conquer are nothing less than feirce greatness. Ash holds a very special place in my heart, she was my first mum friend at the school our children go to and she has been the most loving, caring, understanding and compassionate person I think I've ever met in my life, those traits of hers ooze into how she cares for homebirthing & freebirthing mummas. I can only hope everyone has the opportunity to meet and know her, aswell as Caitlin who is Ash's equal ❤️

Caitlin Ruyg: Jagger graduated from Coastlife! ✨️Our beautiful Lisa was my absolute rock throughout my pregnancy, birth and post-natal! I felt like I could talk to her about anything and everything she is just so warm and welcoming. My partner confided in Lisa the whole time during my birth and for that he was able to be a confident birth partner and was able to advocate for me when I was unable to make decisions for myself.I could not have done it without Lisa and the team at Coastlife and I feel so proud knowing that our baby Jagger is thriving and that we can move on to the next stage of parenthood. Robert Ewen: When my wife said she wanted to use these guys to be honest I was not convinced, but after all they have done for us I would use them again and again.Allison and the team made my wife and I very comfortable with the birth, not once did we feel pushed in to doing anything we didn’t want. They gave us pro’s and con for every step of the way through birth and post natal care.Being the partner you feel helpless throughout birth with your only roll is to comfit your Partner and time contractions, with coast life Allison was in contact with me the whole way which gave me so much more confidence we were in the right place and everything was going according to nature. Allison even came out to check up on my wage at 3am and 6am.The commitment is absolutely outstanding considering we kept Allison up Christmas Eve and even gave birth Christmas morning! They had someone on call everyday over the public holidays.The team at coast life gave us the most confidence to become the parents we are today!Thank you so much!

I felt so cared for throughout the whole process, from monthly 1 hr long catch ups during pregnancy, regular education sessions, to having your midwife on call for birth, and the 6 weeks post partum support. I had such a positive and transformative water birth with my baby girl and it was all thanks to Anne and Cass and the rest of the team.

They provide education and advice about physical, emotional and social development and a point of contact when you need it most - for weird rashes, temps, noises etc! The care has been absolutely invaluable and should be the first thing you arrange for you and your little one post birth! Thank you team.

Bree Molloy: I originally come from Sydney and when I became pregnant I really didn't know how I would plan my birth, I was thinking along the lines of a female Dr and to have my baby at the new public hospital. I came across Coast Life Midwifery. To be honest, I had no idea you could have a baby without having a private Dr. I was impressed reading their Google reviews and once I understood their philosophy and programme, I almost thought it was to good to be true. Having both a private Midwivey team and being able to use the new public hospital, I felt like I was getting the best of two worlds. They say nothing can ever prepare you for the birth of your baby, but I tell you what, this team of ladies did a bloody close job of it. There can be complications with birth, I recommend ladies attend their classes, it really empowers you on the day and doesn't leave you in shock if a situation occurs. They truelly went above and beyond, the education and care provided is seriously unheard of when I speak to family and friends going privately in Sydney. I only wish the government gave these ladies more funding to grow their business, because the cost I paid out of my pocket for their services wouldn't have touched the sides.

The staff explained all investigative procedures to me and explained the outcome and findings of each one. They took the time to help me explore options and provided information on every one.If this clinic closes, it will be a major loss of the women of the Sunshine Coast.

Hannah Honnef: We had our discharge appointment with our midwives today.I feel grateful and reflective and a little sad, but I know we will be back soon. 😜Thank you so much Mary and JemmaI am so in awe of these two incredible women and the way they work with such wisdom, knowledge and professionalism, as they support, guide and hold space for this journey from pregnancy to parenthood. They go above and beyond in every single way and im eternally grateful that we found them and were blessed to have them walk beside Andrew and I during this incredible time of growth and transformation.Unfortunately, our birth didn't go to plan. After going through a full labour and literally seeing bubs hair sticking out, we had a complete reversal of labour. I went from 10cm and pushing back to 1cm dilation as if labour had never happened. We then transferred to hospital where we found nothing visibly wrong and were told we just had to 'start again'. With our beautiful midwives by our side and supporting and encouraging the whole way, bub was born in hospital.Despite things not going to plan, I am not in any way traumatised. I feel so empowered by the whole experience and owe a lot of this to the continuous support of our beautiful midwives.I can't wait to do it again!

Both my partner & I have always felt supported, safe & genuinely cared for always.They are both such a great team together, a wealth of knowledge!!The programs they offer are so incredible, the bodywork program healing birth truma, womans circle, Dads are able to meet up & support is offered to them too. I love how included my partner was, he learned so much & because of that he was confident in our labouring & birthing...maybe alittle scared lol, but confident & strong, he knew what to do & what was going on, we are more connected & in love than before because of this.We have such a treasured story of bringing our baby girl earth side.I have so much gratitude to both Mary & Jemma for what they taught me, helped me let go of, and helped me gain, I believe the work done through the program & the honest loving communication helped me soooo much have the beautiful, calm, trusting birth I had. An absolute dream come true.My first birth experience was at a hospital & not a nice experience, Jemma really helped me bring healing to that trauma & past sexual trauma too, this has had a profound positive impact on my life not just my birth experience.How wonderful to experience labouring how my body felt called to, to move & groove in peace & calm, in a safe environment. Not told what to do, how to lay, when to push, nothing forced onto me, and not pushed to do anything i didn't want to & most importantly having my requests & desires for my birth truly respected & honoured. I felt so empowed, so strong & able - Mary & Jemma play such a huge part in this & of course my support team too.I birthed my baby exactly how I had wished I could, my beautiful Maia Marama Rosina was born into a calm, quite, loving, warm space - the same loving space she was conceived in. How magic. Briohny de Vere: Mary was my home birth midwife for all 3 of my boys, Jemma was the assisting midwife for my 3rd. I could not recommend these 2 gorgeous ladies more. I felt so cared for and loved throughout all 3 pregnancies, labours & postnatal. They didn't just provide medical care they provided education, guidance and support. They didn't tell me how they did things, they educated us on the options and let us choose our own path. I will be forever grateful the only birth experience I have had was a beautiful and spiritual one in the comfort of my own home.

I have never felt so trusting, so supported, and so held during my pregnancy, the birth, and during those early postpartum visits. Over the 2 days stay and through the birth we had many kind, knowledgeable and helpful staff members looking after us. Seriously, all of them were amazing. I was part of every decision. I felt safe and cared for in a way I didn't know I would need. Just want to extend my thanks to everyone in birthing suite! We also had access to good facilities and a cosy, clean room. All round fantastic.
