Spirit House Cooking School: what do users think?

Ash Rickard: First cooking class Ive done and its safe to say they set the bar high. Standout content and easily the best Chef instructor Simon, we all had a blast that day!Standouts were a whole crispy fish with chilli tamarind sauce and perhaps the Worlds BEST Red Curry Paste that will keep the Earth spinning. Will definately return next time in QLD10/10!

Peter Driesenaar: Again, bullseye! Just the best ambiance in a 'haute cuisine' experience. But forget the French connection because Spirit House is all about Asian Fusion with a serious spice twist that blends so well it is difficult for a novice like me to pick which one has made the dish so special.A limited menu but anything you choose will be special.

Manmeet Singh: Perfection in everythingAlways a good experience to visit them.

D D: and overall a great experience. However, a couple of dishes were not on pair with the reputation of this place and the price it comes with. The duck and the pork mains were too salty and portions size has really has shrunk in comparison with what I experienced few years ago. Everything else was top notch delicious. There is clearly a huge job and knowledge behind every dish, pity for those two mains.

Tim Cook: Had an amazing experience here.Chef Kelly was extremely patient, informative and made the whole day so relaxing. The peaceful surrounding, fantastic food and great staff made it for me.

Agnieszka Bogdanowicz: Beautiful place, good food and lovely staff. Most of the waiters were extremely attentive and kind, with one exception - the tall waitress who was unfriendly and quite condescending thus minus one star. She took our order but forgot my partner’s drink and brushed us off when we asked a question about the menu. She never came back to check on our table, which is probably for the best as everyone else who served us afterwards presented high professionalism and made our lunch a nice experience.

Murray Gray: This place can't put a foot wrong. Consistently amazing modern asian flavours yet somehow not afraid to reinvent and try new things. I don't know how they do it. I eat here whenever I'm in the area and advise you to do the same.

Sergio Cavarra: Fantastic food and service. The waitres, Christie very professional and friendly. I think other restaurants should book, experience and take note of what a dining experience really is. Victorian restaurant owners take a trip. For anyone wanting to spend an lunch or dinner experience with no rush this is the place. Great modern Asian, well balanced. Well done Spirit House, you lift everyones spirit.

Desiree Steven: We had dinner here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The ambience is lovely, with the zen gardens and pond that glistens with reflected light. The tables are also well spaced so one can enjoy one's dinner without having to hear what other diners are saying. The soup with ocean trout was amazing. The signature barramundi was okay, however the duck was disappointing. The ginger cake dessert tasted burnt before the bitter marmalade flavour poked through. The stars are more for the beautiful setting than the food.

Mark Thornton: who provided us with tips along the way.We certainly enjoyed eating the fruits of our labour after the cooking was finished.

Craig Treweek: Having booked several months ago became quite concerned at the last months reviews. Everything we had was exceptional the food is next level and the wine list truly allows you to explore by the glass… ignore the January reviews whatever was wrong has truly been fixed at the end of February

Aveliann: Amazing experience!Chef Simon was fantastic!Great tips and tricks for preparation and cooking. Thanks for the wonderful afternoon/ evening.

Alan Lawson: World class and justifiably so. Good to se them back after the break in.

Captain Mzungu: the few other serious competitors out there

Japanese Cuisine Classes(Home cooking Classes): what do users think?

Zac Ledger: Amazing night, thank you so much Tomo!! Definitely recommend to everyone

ANGELA ROBINSON: and added bonus is we know how to cook gyozas! Great class. Highly recommended :

Michael Hardman: One of the best nights of food & entertainment I have had in years. Lots of laughing, learning along the way and ended with a lovely meal in great company. I ate food I never imagined I would & returned for ‘seconds’. Tomo is a true ‘Gentleman’ with great knowledge/skills & is more than happy to pass it on to others. He remains Professional throughout, but you feel like you have made a great friend by the end of the experience.I could not recommend Tomo & his skills highly enough. If you ever have the opportunity to have him into your home/business/corporate event/school etc don’t let it pass you by - book it in, as you will never regret the experience he brings to you….!!

Julie Lancaster: We had such an awesome time with Tomohiro. His approach to sharing his recipes and love of cooking homemade Japanese food was exceptional. He certainly gave us great value for our investment in his class and the added bonus of creating a short video of our evening was perfect! It was a pleasure to share our table with him and get some tips on using chopsticks! Thank you.

Meg R: Highly recommend Tomo’s cooking class. Wonderful experience - so fresh and tasty, lots of fun and lovely teacher! Will definitely do it again.

Catherine Brosnan: SO much fun, great relaxing pace, loads of tips and tricks, confidence to try the recipes yourself, super cool video sent the next day….and he has a great sense of humour!! Can’t recommend a Tomonese cooking class enough!

A P: Thank you Tomo for a lovely morning. We learned about tastes, textures, knife use, and lots of flavours. Set at a nice pace with practical skills to take away and use at home. I highly recommend this experience with Tomo!

Kent & Shelley: What an enjoyable cooking class this was! I have never done a cooking class before and I was a bit nervous but Tomo was so lovely and was such an excellent teacher and he made the night so much fun. I learnt a lot and had such a great time. Thank you Tomo for making my birthday event very special! I would highly recommend these classes.

Sarah Maxwell: Tomo is an incredible teacher. He brings his background and life experience to a fun night with friends. He allowed us to be exactly as we wanted to be - we laughed and laughed and he was able to be "in the moment" yet maintain professionalism. I have done many a cooking class but this is the first time I loved the food that much and felt like I would truly replicate the dishes at home. A real testament to his teachings and choice of dish and overall joy of cooking. Thanks Tomo, I will surely be doing this again w other GFs!!!

Maria Tsirlina: I can not recommend Tomo and his cooking class & dinner experience highly enough! We booked this for our last night of our hens trip in Coolum and all the girls absolutely loved it! He is funny, kind, a real gentleman and most of all so passionate about the cooking and the produce! Thank you Tomo for being a part of our memory and making it so special!Oh and not to forget the dinner was delicious and we leant so much!

Michael Polkinghorne: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ValueTomo was the best. We had a wonderful day. A great combination of learning and fun.

Focus HR: We had such a great time with Tomo - he was patient, enthusiastic, fun and joined in with our team dinner which made it even more special. Thanks Tomo!

Deborah Maloney: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueWe enjoyed a fantastic family night with Tomo! It was great to learn new cooking skills and even greater to enjoy the fruits of our labour! Tomo is knowledgeable, skilful, friendly, extremely generous, and highly organised. This event was incredibly good value for money and I highly recommend it.

Mobi Tand: Tomo comes prepared and loves what he does and it shows in the passionate way he transfers some of his knowledge. Even though it is like class it is also a good feed and definitely a lot of fun

Mikayla Ash: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueWe had our work Christmas party this year with Tomo from Japanese Cuisine Classes and I would highly recommend doing a class. The food was incredible and it was great to learn more about Japanese culture. I look forward to testing out my new skills and cooking some of these delicious recipes for my family and friends. Thanks Tomo!

Kate Webber: My husband and I have done a cooking class twice now with Tomo and each time we have had an absolute blast! The food has been delicious, and both times we have recreated the recipes so Tomo obviously taught us well.Tomo is very professional whilst still creating a very comfortable, relaxed and fun atmosphere. He reads the room very well!We would highly recommend this and will be doing more in the future!

Bronte Dunn: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueTomo is absolutely fabulous! I can’t recommend his cooking classes enough! Great fun and delicious food!

Laurie Brooks: What a fantastic experience with Tomo! Our kids gave us a gift voucher for our 50th Wedding Anniversary back in August for a group class, so we recently organised family and friends to take the class. Well! Tomo was so organised! He brings everything....all the cookware, food and even the the table decor, dishes and tableware. He is very thorough in explaining the recipes and special tips, plus a great sense of humour, which adds fun to the event. Whether you like to cook or don’t, your group will have a great time. Highly recommend and look forward to another session in the near future!

Alastair Noble: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityExcellent technical instruction from Tomo in Japanese cookery. Some very valuable instruction. I will book again. thanks Tomo

ALBA by Kuruvita: what do users think?

John: Saturday lunch so not busy. Nice location with outlook onto large lawn and palm backdrop. Nice ambience in a modern setting- efficient and pleasant service. Food was very good. Fusion of Sri Lankan spice and modern Aussie cuisine. I had the fish curry with the usual snapper swapped out for barramundi- I have had terrible barra in restaurants but this was superbly cooked and a good compliment to the mild creamy curry sauce. Overall a very pleasant experience 😊Wheelchair accessibility: Easy one-level access

Jade Diamond: A quiet and quaint little experience at Alba, I love that there’s some real kick of spice in some dishes but most are a contemporary take on Peter’s home country or Sri Lanka. If you’re looking for authentic Sri Lankan food, go to Sunnybank or travel to Sri Lanka. If you’re looking for an elegant dining experience with kind authentic service and a taste of Peters home, then this is the place.Love this community restaurant. It’s been a while since our visit but we’ll be back soon Peter & Karen.Lots of the love the girls.

Henry Forrest: Probably the best prawns and salmon of my life.

Doug Wallace: Absolutely exquisite restaurant! Plus, Peter Kuruvita is possibly the nicest man in the world.

Andy S: Alba Restaurant Seafood Cooking Class Noosa. "Recommended"Experienced Chef Peter Kuruvita is very welcoming and runs an amazing cooking class. Everyone gets involved learning the skills of food preparation and cooking. This is all done in a relaxed environment while enjoying a glass of wine or two. The best part of class is enjoying all the tasty food together at the end. Memorable experience and big thankyou to Peter

Rhiannon Hardingham: Excellent food and service. Some of the best in Noosa.

Lana Kelly: My husband and I recently took part in the Sri Lankan seafood cooking class. It was so informative and enjoyable! We felt so blessed to have the benefit of Peter’s experience and knowledge.Parking: Some parking out front

Eugene Chung: We had two young children with us and the restaurant and staff were very accomodating. The portions sizes were large, even the entrees. Ordered the black pepper mudcrab-it was delicious!Kid-friendliness: Full kids menu and colouring pages

Sandra Scalzo: Lovely restaurant. Staff were excellent and very attentive. Food was good but not exceptional. Interesting mix of flavours but expected more based on friends recommendations and the chefs reputation.I would recommend to friends and would visit again. Worth a visit.

Sue Leeming: Vegetarian options: Lots to choose from and all delicious

Marian Dowling: Well beyond our expectations. Thank you for a truly wonderful dining experience with wonderful, tasty food, excellent service, an interesting and complimentary selection of wines and a lovely environment. We booked on the spur of the moment as we spent a few days in Noosa.

Dayan Jayasekera: great venue and superb food. They have the best kids menu on the sunshine also.highly recommended the venue and the food is amazing.

Spicers Tamarind Retreat: what do users think?

John Szkutko: Our villa was luxurious plus the restaurant is fine dining at its best. A highly recommended experience.Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view, Quiet …

Anne Osip: Lovely place and grounds surrounded by nature. Considerate staff and a great Thai restaurant. Not as high end as some for the price but the surrounds and privacy offered more than compensateWalkability: Lovely grounds to walk and close to Maleny that also offer many featuresFood & drinks: Excellent Thai restaurant

Caroline Kelly: Absolutely blown away by this place!! Everything was perfect… the secluded rainforest location… bushwalk to waterfalls… steamy hot showers and gorgeous alfresco bathtub… luscious towels and comfy beds… wood burning fireplace… the restaurant served up some of the most delicious food I’ve ever eaten… and they have EV chargers — I will definitely be back!

Flavio Costanzo: Rooms: Obviously very well insulated and warm especially after getting that pot belly cranked up with a fire.Walkability: Very well planned pathways for us oldies to navigate even at darkFood & drinks: A true food indulging experience especially for me personally who doesn't usually even try Asian cuisine. Your chef may have turned me around.Noteworthy details: As a consultant in the building industry I appreciated the clever details on the construction you've undertaken.

Colette Southam: My partner and I spent a relaxing weekend in a luxury falls villa. The ambience of our room and resort set the stage for a peaceful weekend. Our package included breakfast and dinner, but we didn't need to eat a third meal as we had leftovers from the prior night's dinner. The restaurant and hotel staff were super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The dinner choices were all delicious and catered to dietrary constraints. We really enjoyed eating out, but on the last day, we had breakfast delivered to our room and our selfie is the profile photo.

pat ferguson: We had a fantastic time dining at The Tamarind Restaurant. Food and service were sensational! We didn't leave wanting and thoroughly enjoyed the after dinner port and chocolate by the fire. Highly recommend.Food & drinks: A gastronomic experience with knowledgeable and attentive servers. Loved every moment.

Roxanne Coleman: . We will definately be going back.

Jelise Camilleri: You couldn’t ask for better service here, everyone is wonderful and incredibly accommodating. The venue itself is beautiful and makes for events that have a luxurious but intimate garden feel. The food is absolutely delicious. Highly recommend.
