This place is fantastic and in some ways better than the qualified sessions I've had with other therapists. Will definitely be returning once the appointments become available.

brick -sta: Brilliant service. On holiday, I booked in a remedial massage with Lidia when I met her taking in the clinic sign at the kerb! I had an unusual mix of issues when I went in- lower back pain, sluggish digestion and some sinus left over from the flu 3 weeks prior. She adressed all three within an hour! She was precise and knowledgeable. Even my health fund card was accepted leaving me with a small gap I gladly paid. The only problem is that she is not located in Melbourne!

Lidia was very thorough and at the end gave me 3 exercises to assist with a weak shoulder that has never really recovered from surgery more than ten years ago. I would highly recommend Lidia. Very thorough and professional. along with Ali the owner.

Harry Frith: I had a back problem that was making it difficult to walk and move properly. My body was out of alignment hence muscles were compensating. This weakened me and caused balance issues. Ali immediately identified the problem explained it to me and showed it to me via an image on an iPad. He had me perform various movements to illustrate the problem then he fixed them. I did movements after the therapy and was asked to concentrate on muscles in the weak areas and problem solved. My back was better, no pain and my balance was back. A very precise treatment. Ali then gave me follow up exercises that I can log into an monitor. A vey calm and patient person that helped me be receptive to the treatment. Thank you Ali. My surfing has improved since.

Cindy: Professional approach, dry needling, treatment plan and Covid safe are four phrases that sum up my experience with FT.I have an autoimmune muscle disorder in addition to rheumatoid arthritis and am constantly in pain or discomfort and am so fortunate to have stumbled across Ali Elmabrook at Function Therapy.Ali is a very good listener and is able to determine what the problem is and what the appropriate technique to use is to address the issue.Using dry needling on my back and legs as they were too sensitive to massage proved to be a very effective technique. Ali explains what the problems are, what he is going to do to treat the problem and then provides you with a treatment plan to follow when at home to ensure that improvement is continued.Ali uses an electric thermometer to ensure all clients are Covid symptom free so as to provide a safe environment for everyone to receive the treatment they need.I highly recommend Ali from FT if you want instant relief from your aches & pains.

Andrew Carley: Some unexpected minor surgery a few weeks prior to my long-awaited holiday at Noosa resulted in severe back and shoulder pain which threatened to de-rail the relaxation, fun and enjoyment I had planned. Despite being on his Christmas break, Ali responded to my phone call for help. He listened carefully to the description of my symptoms. He juggled his diary to make a convenient appointment time. He asked more questions, showed me what was causing the pain and how he would treat it. He then got to work. His ultra professionalism, his deep knowledge of anatomy and various relevant treatment regimes, as well as his obvious genuine passion for ensuring my wellbeing had me back in the surf after just one visit. A second treatment and a handful of exercises to perform at home has resulted in me feeling extremely positive about a complete recovery. I cannot recommend Ali highly enough.

Amy Wardrop: I would highly recommend Shayne if you are needing something more then the usual relaxation massage. Shayne took me to a state of wellness and rejuvenation I have not experienced before. My jaw, temple, shoulder pain was completely gone the next day and my sleeping improved for the next couple weeks. My period pain was reduced during the following cycle too. He also recommended herbs and natural remedies for home use which not everyone does, so that was nice. 💖

Nadeane Chadwick: Wow! I had my first massage with Shayne yesterday and was not expecting that! By far the best massage I've had. His wealth of experience, wisdom and knowledge transpired into a 2 hour session in which every part of my physical and subtle bodies was attended to. The best thing for me was that I felt safe and supported to completely surrender and let Shayne work his magic performing multiple techniques and modalities including acupressure, hot stones, hot oils, lomi lomi massage, remedial massage and no doubt other things thrown in the mix. He got right in which is something that has lacked with other body treatments I've had. Today I'm sore but in a good way. I feel like shifts are still taking place on many levels and will be for some time. Can't wait to go back in a few weeks. Thank you Shayne.

Shayne examined me and identified many many issues that I had, Shayne used his Hawaiian and deep tissue massage on me, he worked on my my entire body, releasing all pain in my left shoulder, bad neck issue, top,mid and lower back pain due to spinal injury and surgery.
