Grace R: Love exploring the reserve, its nice to unwind amongst the flora and fauna after a busy day, every walk I see more and more amazing wildlife! It's nice to have a small getaway close to home
K P: This is where I go for a walk most days after work. Such a peaceful and relaxing place to reconnect with nature and appreciate the environment which would have covered the entire surrounding suburb.The reserve features a Wallum Banksia Woodland landscape complete with a wide array of native flora and fauna common to this ecosystem. Including endangered species endemic to the area such as the Swamp Stringybark and the vulnerable Whipstick Wattle. There’s an abundance of bird life, echidnas, goannas, frogs, fish that call the springs home.It’s very devastating that this impressive patch of remnant forest is under threat by the Sunshine Coast Council.There is Facebook group dedicated to protecting it called ‘Save the Springs’.I recommend this walk to really anyone who enjoys nature.
