Susie Kinsella: We recently engaged Teeland Architects to design and project manage our build in the Noosa Hinterland. We had a reasonably clear idea of what we wanted for our site, focused on raw, natural and local materials that embrace the beautiful landscape around us. The design that David and Sook created for us is better than anything we could have imagined and met our brief to perfection. We are so thrilled with the end result, it is perfect for our growing family and feels like we have been here forever already. David has incredible attention to detail and was an excellent project manager. He was so easy to deal with, getting us involved when needed but outside of that, we fully trusted him to manage things without us having to regularly be on site. He is thorough, professional and very responsive with any issues that may arise. Sook also really understood what a family needed in terms of the practicalities of design in spaces like the kitchens and bathrooms. They were also very helpful with sourcing a truly excellent builder, interior designer, landscaper and other contractors and managed all commercial discussions with ease. We couldn’t be happier with our new home and would happily recommend Teeland Architects to anyone.

Jo Deverill: We commissioned Robinson Architects in late 2014. From the outset we found Jolyon approachable, fun and imaginative. For the design, we had no preconceptions. We just told him about our family and let him rip... and we were stunned by the outcome. During the build, Jolyon's engagement, attention to detail and problem-solving were impeccable. We felt comfortably at home from the first day that we moved in and our delight continues to this day. The house is filled with air and light, warm in winter, cool and breezy in summer, and highly efficient for daily life. It won an Australian Institute of Architects People's Choice award, but much more importantly, our family and friends love it. We would only ever move if Robinson Architects designed the next one.
Renee Stafford: Robinson Architects consistently exceeds my expectations. Having completed two homes designed by Jolyon and his team, the latest a 2-storey, approximately 500m2 home in Sunshine Beach. I cannot speak highly enough of the value for money that his unique style and designs offer. Our first home was completed in 2008 and it still looks contemporary in the neighbourhood. Jolyon and his team at Robinson Architects have always listened to my concerns whilst creating their own design from my inspiration boards, producing a product we are all happy with. If there is a finish the design requires and it is out of my budget, then Jolyon sources an alternative, working with the builder to stay true to the house design concept. Unique, cutting edge design is Jolyon's speciality and this adds value to a house over time. I enjoy every light-filled space in my home while the moody areas get attention during my down time. I am one of your biggest fans and if I had to sum up your work, I would say you are an architectual designer of light. The way you capture light in a house at different times of the day is an art and the joy our house design gives us never stops. Thank you Jolyon and your team for making my every day life in my home functional, fun and calming.
Nic Granleese: As an architectural photographer i've had the good fortune of photographing many projects from Robinson Architects for all sorts of publications. While being based in Melbourne, the trip to Noosa was always worth it because of the high quality of work that Jolyon and his team deliver. His architecture has been published countless times around the world and it is no surprise that his client base is from many different countries. Australia is lucky to have many amazing residential architects, but Robinson architects stands out as a practice that will have a lasting legacy.
