Overall it was a very pleasant building process, spanning over a year from Design Stage right through to Handover.The biggest challenge we initially faced was selecting a builder whom we could trust with building our dream home. When we approached Green Earth Homes, we were met with Grace. She came across as really enthusiastic and very confident that they could deliver on our sizeable project. We had a very strong intuition that this would be the right company to go with.After we signed up, Grace was our go-to person during the entire Design Stage up to signing the building contract. Having previously visited Pelican Waters we were drawn to the Display Village there and specifically a home built by Green Earth Homes. Paul D: We engaged Tim and Quality First Constructions to conduct a significant update and renovation of our 20 year old duplex. Pretty much every surface was updated including extending the living room into undercover outdoor space, extending an upstairs deck and ensuite, new windows and bifold doors, extensive tiling and painting. There were a lot of trades involved and was a complicated job across 3 levels which involved us living onsite with 2 cats.Tim’s core team of chippies and builders are fantastic. The work involved completely renovating the living areas, including converting a garage to provide an extra bedroom, bathroom, and storage area. A new pool and pool deck were also part of the scope for the project. We chose Quality First Constructions for our renovations because of some great recommendations from their previous clients. The price was very competitive, and the proposal was also clear on inclusions and exclusions which was important for us. We did have some unexpected hidden problems with the existing house that cropped up during the renovations, as is usual during a renovation, but Tim from Quality First Constructions solved them for us with minimal delay and with minimal additional cost.From beginning to end Tim and his team communicated the progress of the renovation. All the tradies that Quality First Constructions used for our renovation were polite and professional and their quality and workmanship were excellent. A special thank you goes to Marcus who supervised the day-to-day operations on site. Marcus was patient with us despite our interruptions with questions and small changes as the renovation progressed. We asked for many changes and additional work to be added to the scope during the renovations and Tim and Marcus handled all these changes without any fuss.The follow up from Quality First Constructions after the renovations were completed has also been excellent. There were some small issues that we discovered after the final inspection.
