Krystal LeeJane: I've just recently given birth as a first time mum at SCUH and am so, so pleased and grateful for the experience I had there. Over the 2 days stay and through the birth we had many kind, knowledgeable and helpful staff members looking after us. Seriously, all of them were amazing. I was part of every decision. I felt safe and cared for in a way I didn't know I would need. Just want to extend my thanks to everyone in birthing suite! We also had access to good facilities and a cosy, clean room. All round fantastic.

Melissa Roberts: I was admitted over night for breast surgery and found the care and compassion of the health professionals to be exceptional in every regard from the moment I arrived to the moment I departed. The nursing staff going above and beyond in any way possible.For a private hospital to have the capacity to operate at this level and then feed patients the way that they do was shocking to me. I have stage 3 cancer. Regardless of what extreme beliefs you might subscribe to with regard to diet, I am yet to meet a person with cancer that does not avoid highly processed food devoid of nutritional value.I genuinely cannot comprehend how a hospital could serve the meals pictured with consideration to the well-being of sick individuals. Not a single thing put in front of me was derived from fresh produce, in fact the meals I received were perfect examples of the foods to avoid as directed by my dietician.

Annelle Rae: I had a foot operation recently which I was advised by all except the surgeon that it should be an overnight stay wherein the surgeon would only allow day surgery. I still had to pay the $750 excess if it was day surgery or overnight or more. The hospital had even allocated me a room. I want to thank all the nursing staff in the day surgery ward with you excellent assistance. All were so friendly and supportive even though some of the nurses were struggling to get their breaks.
Phil Hollard: I was recently transferred from Nambour Hospital to Buderim Private. I was admitted to 2A for 4 days with a Kidney infection. My stay , although not in a good place medically, was made very comfortable by the entire staff who cared for me. Dr Sam was unbelievable with his care not only for me but my family. In particular Nurses, Annmarie, Kaye, Karen, Mary and Tisha were so caring. Also Kitchen staff Craig and Anna were so thoughtful arranging suitable food. Sheelagh Ogilvie: Went to Buderim from Sydney to stay with family , unfortunately I became quite sick with a virus , from the moment I presented at emergency , and for the next 8 days , was I looked after with such love , and the care was faultless , from ICU to the wards . D P: Just come from suddenly having to spend a couple of days there. The medical and nursing staff were mostly caring and professional. However, I found the much of the prepared food inedible and came home quite hungry.

Steph Jeffery: We went through Coastlife for both of my pregnancies and couldn’t recommend them more! The continuity of care they provide is unparalleled.They go above and beyond to ensure that you are educated and empowered to advocate for yourself through their birth education classes. Through these classes I was able to meet other like minded mothers who were birthing around the same time, two years on and we still catch up regularly.My second birth I ended up in the hospitals care for the last few weeks and although there was a lot of unknown I had Allison to help me navigate our own plan that we felt would be best for us, I felt safe, in control and fully aware of all of my options. It really made me appreciate how lucky I was to have this level of care and although I had birthed before this experience would have been very different had I not had the Coastlife team looking out for me.
Caitlin Ruyg: Jagger graduated from Coastlife! ✨️Our beautiful Lisa was my absolute rock throughout my pregnancy, birth and post-natal! I felt like I could talk to her about anything and everything she is just so warm and welcoming. My partner confided in Lisa the whole time during my birth and for that he was able to be a confident birth partner and was able to advocate for me when I was unable to make decisions for myself.I could not have done it without Lisa and the team at Coastlife and I feel so proud knowing that our baby Jagger is thriving and that we can move on to the next stage of parenthood. Robert Ewen: When my wife said she wanted to use these guys to be honest I was not convinced, but after all they have done for us I would use them again and again.Allison and the team made my wife and I very comfortable with the birth, not once did we feel pushed in to doing anything we didn’t want. They gave us pro’s and con for every step of the way through birth and post natal care.Being the partner you feel helpless throughout birth with your only roll is to comfit your Partner and time contractions, with coast life Allison was in contact with me the whole way which gave me so much more confidence we were in the right place and everything was going according to nature. Allison even came out to check up on my wage at 3am and 6am.The commitment is absolutely outstanding considering we kept Allison up Christmas Eve and even gave birth Christmas morning! They had someone on call everyday over the public holidays.The team at coast life gave us the most confidence to become the parents we are today!Thank you so much!

I felt prepared, supported and cared for which I believe ultimately resulted in me having the birth I was hoping for.We would recommend them to anyone on the coast that is looking into this model of care.
Claire Beckett: One of the best decisions I have ever made was to have Coast Life Midwifery take care of me and bub for my second pregnancy. The care they provide is outstanding. I felt so cared for throughout the whole process, from monthly 1 hr long catch ups during pregnancy, regular education sessions, to having your midwife on call for birth, and the 6 weeks post partum support. I had such a positive and transformative water birth with my baby girl and it was all thanks to Anne and Cass and the rest of the team.
Lucy Holland: , but they have provided so much more. Jess and Jane offer a safe space to address the fears associated with becoming a new mum and celebrate the joys. They provide education and advice about physical, emotional and social development and a point of contact when you need it most - for weird rashes, temps, noises etc! The care has been absolutely invaluable and should be the first thing you arrange for you and your little one post birth! Thank you team.

Having a private midwife by my side, overseeing my care, advocating for me and guiding me through all the decision making was life changing for me after prior traumatic experiences with birthing. Bree Molloy: I originally come from Sydney and when I became pregnant I really didn't know how I would plan my birth, I was thinking along the lines of a female Dr and to have my baby at the new public hospital. I came across Coast Life Midwifery. To be honest, I had no idea you could have a baby without having a private Dr. I was impressed reading their Google reviews and once I understood their philosophy and programme, I almost thought it was to good to be true. Having both a private Midwivey team and being able to use the new public hospital, I felt like I was getting the best of two worlds. They say nothing can ever prepare you for the birth of your baby, but I tell you what, this team of ladies did a bloody close job of it. There can be complications with birth, I recommend ladies attend their classes, it really empowers you on the day and doesn't leave you in shock if a situation occurs. They truelly went above and beyond, the education and care provided is seriously unheard of when I speak to family and friends going privately in Sydney. I only wish the government gave these ladies more funding to grow their business, because the cost I paid out of my pocket for their services wouldn't have touched the sides.

We also received fantastic post-natal support, with frequent home visits and follow-up clinic appointments during the first six weeks after birth. Sharon: I was at Nambour Hospital as a day patient and the doctors and nursing staff were all wonderful, caring and friendly. My only issue is the lack of privacy when sitting in recovery and they are discussing what the outcome of your surgery was, I heard all of the personal details of the surgery of the people sitting next to me as I'm sure they did mine. I am not blaming the staff but think this is something the hospital system needs to look at improving

I was taken by ambulance to Nambour Hospital after a traffic accident and was immediately cared for by so many wonderful people, I felt so safe considering I was in a really terrified and vulnerable state with no loved ones with me at the time. My pain was taken seriously and action was taken accordingly and quickly. Wonderful team at Emergency, I am so grateful to you all. Thank you.

Jacinta Foale: I spent some time sitting beside my brother at the Maleny hospital while he waited for an ambulance to take him to Scuh after a nasty encounter with an angle grinder. He was so carefully attended to by nurse and doctor while he waited for the ambulance. I love our public health system and I feel deeply relieved we have such warm brilliant staff in this hospital in this country town.
Sean Seery: Amazing staff, Dr’s, nurses, wardies and social worker. They do an amazing job, I can’t thank them enough for the guidance during this stressful time. Not to mention I’ve never dealt with issues like this before. Thank you team!
Barbara Coombe: I have just spent a couple of weeks as an inpatient in ward ten at Maleny Hospital. I would just like to say that I have never experienced such expert and caring attention. I found the nursing staff very friendly and they made my stay there extremely comfortable. A special mention to Julie Wanda, Wendy Caitlan and Ken and to all the other staff especially the physios who were on hand to assist with any help needed. I’m now home and doing very well.

Tess Campbell: Came in via ambulance with severe abdominal pain 9/10, accompanied with severe dizziness and vertigo. I have really bad anxiety when it comes to ambulances and hospitals, but everyone from the paramedics to the doctors and nurses were amazing! I ended up having to be transferred to SCUH, which ended with me discharging myself waiting 3 days to hear the results from tests that were done 3 days ago. I highly recommend Maleny Hospital, everyone is professional, warm, kind hearted and go above and beyond to help their patients. l have nothing but praise for their treatment of me and their constant updates on what was happening. Thank you so much!

I was sent there from NGH after a motorcycle accident that left me with a fractured pelvis. Everyone went out of their way to make me comfortable and help with my rehabilitation. I would like to give a special mention to Kay, the meals lady . During my time there I saw the kindness and patience shown to other patients that had various illnesses including dementia. From entering the front door, to leaving at the end of my procedure, everyone was just so welcoming and friendly, and made me feel at ease and that I was in good hands. Cherie Hamilton: Working in a hospital myself, I was not disappointed at all. All staff from front reception, prep nurses, wardsmen and recovery nurses were fantastic. They made me feel so at ease. Everyone involved in my surgery introduced themself and explained their role with me. They were all very friendl, approachable and professional. I highly recommend. Thank you to all the staff

Kyle and Vanessa Wallwork: My daughter is a patient there, had a procedure there, the team work is exceptional, from front desk to the registered nurse to the gp. Follow up was even better, checking my daughters health after procedure. Fantastic service in a friendly environment.

The staff explained all investigative procedures to me and explained the outcome and findings of each one. They took the time to help me explore options and provided information on every one.If this clinic closes, it will be a major loss of the women of the Sunshine Coast.
