Suncoast Backpackers Lodge: what do users think?

Victor PJ: bravo, its the real deal if you can hang. the faint of heart or those with allergies might not be suited to this tavern

KIRDYBIRD: Good place to party

Tiphaine Royer: I have lived in this working hostel for a bit more than 8 months this year. I was needing to do my 88 days and I have done them both picking and packing and I could also work in plants nursery. During the Coronavirus this place was the one that I called home. Once you get over the fact that the building needs a lot of investment you'll be able to appreciate the people who are from all over the world and are diamonds in the dirt. Afterall it is all a matter of perspective which you are the only one to be responsible for. So make it the best you can. There is a lot to say about this place so here is my sum up:Positive aspects of this place:- it is a working hostel so people you will meet will most probably become your friends because we all tend to stay here longer than expected. Everybody is welcome with their own quirks and skills. It is a family of backpackers.- people stay because you do get jobs. Not always hourly paid but Johnson does its best to get you working. You just have to ask.- if Johnson cannot find you directly a job there are plenty of them around the area and you will be able to use one of the car from Johnson to get to it.- this working hostel is more a sharehouse than a hostel. Meaning you have a lot of freedom which you would not have in other managed hostel. Meaning also that people are expected to want to take care of the place themselves. Freedom comes with responsability.- extra positive aspect is the location of the hostel. It is 5 minutes away walking from the beach where surfers can enjoy good waves almost everyday. ALDI and others shops are also 5 minutes away.Negatives aspects of this place:- it is an old building that definitely needs repairs in bedrooms and especially bathrooms which either the manager nor the landowner are willing to spend money on.- once you arrive you will be asked to get your own bed sheets.- since no one is paid to clean the bedrooms and outdoor spaces, backpackers have to do it themselves but it does get dirty sometimes and it can stay like it for a time when no one take responsability.- price of the rooms which are bit expensive for the services.Overall I had a great experience in this hostel thanks to the people I met and the parties which were thrown. I could save money and do my days for my second year visa. Don't be scared by the reviews just don't expect the same as in any other hostels. For the worst and the best.Cheers.

Pelle Merckx: as long as its an improvement. We got a couple of builders who are always building something new for the big party on the weekend. The manager does provide jobs, sometimes good jobs, sometimes bad jobs.

Florinda Silva: Beautiful place

Petr Langer: If you need to do your farm work, this is the best hostel on Sunshine Coast

Flashpackers Noosa: what do users think?

Dave Dunning: .Rooms: Our room was a mixed 4 with private bathroom. The beds are bunks but as long as you can manage the climb or bags the bottom bunk the rooms are fine, each bed having its own light and plug socket which is excellent, there is also Aircon.

Dani Ela: , the location is a bit outside of Noosa. I had to work remotely two days in the evening, it was very difficult because there was only a very small and old room with no door for it. It was very loud and people kept coming into the room. In addition, the price is rather expensive, but that is probably generally the case on the Sunshine Coast. The cleanliness was partly good and partly not so good. In room 3 the drains are in dire need of cleaning and unfortunately my products were removed from the fridge a day before departure.

jules guyonnet: Stayed 1 night with my partner in July 2023. Opinion given for one night. It was beyond my expectations. The bedroom of 10 is perfect, as well as the 2 accompanying bathrooms. The breakfast service is top notch and the main room is welcoming. The price is in line with the quality presented. Thank you for everything and keep up the good work.

George Smith: , great breakfast, comfy beds, clean rooms, and most importantly QUALITY showers!Thank you for a great stay :

Sophie A: One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in on the East Coast. A lovely atmosphere and nice and helpful staff. We were staying in a 10 people dorm, which was a very nice room, with two separate toilets and showers. It was really nice that the bathrooms weren’t directly ensuite the room, there was a small hallway in between them, so it wasn’t noisy or anything at all. They had lots of fun activities, which made it a very social hostel experience. The free breakfast had cereal, milk and bread with some spreads, and afterwards they cleaned the kitchen which was really nice. They also had free tea and coffee available at all times. The shuttle bus to the city centre is also a plus! All in all, had an amazing time there, oh and Spikey made it even more entertaining🐶

Tina Vdb: It was amazing! The rooms were very nice, cleaned every day.The kitchen was very well equipped and clean as well. They organise a lot of free activities in the evening which is great for socializing! They have a free bus to the center and the bus of punlic transport is just outside! They have a cute dog Spider, loved him!If you are staying in Noosa and you want a chill and social hostel, this is your place to be!

Tiffany Hermans: so you can really interact with each other. Loved my stay here and would definitely recommend!

Lena Imhoff: as it didn’t go below 24°C.Also one of the older cleaning ladies was kind of rude and kept shoving my luggage really far under my bed without asking me to do it myself, because I was “blocking the door”. The thing is there’s not really room for you to store it away nicely and I don’t want my bags under the bed where it’s super dusty and you can’t really reach it.Other than that definitely recommend!

Dylan Haysom: My favourite hostel on the East coast as a solo traveller. Very social and employees were extremely nice, overall a friendly environment. Bonus points that the wifi actually worked throughout the whole hostel. Free breakfast was offered each morning and free shuttle services were available at multiple times in the day for people who wanted to travel into town. Also had a friendly dog that roamed the hostel looking for guests to play with.Food & drinks: Free breakfast every morning and events at night which also offered free food

Shane Storer: My wife and I have stayed here for a number of weeks while building a home in the area and we cannot thank Michael enough and his staff for making our stay one of the most pleasant stays in all our travels around Australia the cleanliness is next level and location is great along with pool and outdoor area with bbq it is a home away from home.

Lynne Irvine: My hubby and l stayed at this beautiful motel on Saturday 4 March 2023.The manager was very friendly and helpful on our arrival. We stayed in a queen room, the room was lovely and clean, had a little kitchenette which was great, the bed was so comfy, we both agreed on that. It’s our second time staying there and we will definitely be going back.It is a handy to some local shops, cafes etc.I would highly recommend this motel if you want something nice clean and great service. We worth the price that we paid.

Lake Weyba Noosa Lodge & Friendly Kangaroos: what do users think?

Katie Mason: Rob was very accomodating and welcoming. Four of us came to stay along with our three dogs. The cottage was in lovely condition and a good size for us all to spend time together without being under each other's feet! The lake, at the rear of the property, was only a five minute walk from the front door and was definitely a highlight for us. We took the canoe/kayaks out on the water several times, a beautiful spot. There was also a fantastic dog beach only 15 mins drive away, which made the pups very happy indeed. Thanks for a wonderful stay and we will definitely be back again!Highly recommended.

Brenda Keeling: Lovely, cosy and good location for Eumundi, Noosa, Perigian etc.Lots of Kangaroos and a very beautiful lake.

JD Lewis: We had an amazing time at this property. The house presented beautifully and the property is in an excellent location making for a peaceful and relaxing stay. The hosts were friendly, helpful and not intrusive. We love that it is pet friendly so we were able to bring our dogs with us. We will definitely be returning.

Maxine Dubois: What a gem! We were astounded with the beautiful old Queenslander style home; it was private without being too secluded. We used the fire pit on our last night, and during the day, we went for a paddle on Lake Weyba - just beautiful. We found the hidden creek, like stepping into another world. The atmosphere, the lake, the local kangaroos and the birds around the property made us think we were staying in a national park. We are definitely coming back!

Karen Seidel-Davies: Where do I start it was amazing, a wonderful host and a fabulous Queensland 3 bedroom house, with everything you could think of, if you didn't have something your host Rob was just a call away.Just sitting on the verandah watching the kangaroos eating grass or boxing on.was good to see. You could walk to the lake and just sit and relax just hearing the waves washing upon the shore was just a tranquil experience. You didn't have far to go if you wanted to go shopping or the beach you had choices Pregerian Beach, Noosa just a short distance there were other places to go to Caldoura or Morchadore where there where plenty of choices of coffee shops and restaurants. It has become my favourite place to come and unwind and relax. Have already organized another trip for March 2022. So If you want somewhere special to go this is the place.Cheers ENJOYThanks Rob

Finley Lawless: great place to stay

Georgina McArthur: Mum and I had a great stay at the cottage - the lake is easy for dog swims and kangaroos turn up right at your doorstep. Rob is friendly and happy to give you tips.

The Birminghams: Picturesque, quiet and relaxing. The house was imaculately clean with all the amenities you could ever need. Particularly enjoyed having morning coffee on the deck overlooking about 40 kangaroos just chilling out. The lake is just a short stroll to the end of the property. It is very beautiful, especially at sunset. Our dog had the time of her life. She loved playing in the shallow water and running around with her two new kelpie friends, Rex and Blue. She also experienced her first time on a boat as the owner kindly took us on a ride around the lake. It was a great experience. Can't wait to go back, recharge my batteries and hang with the local fauna. I know my dog will be an extremely excited girl next time we pull up there.

Genny McKee: visited us in the afternoon and checked out our views on the holiday let. As the only thing we had done since our arrival was eat and drink, we were very loose and really appreciated the fact that this place actually existed at all. Lots of wildlife around, tall trees sounding amazing when the wind got up a bit, and with mowngrass as far as the eye could see, it was very relaxing and just what we needed. Came home very rested, and would recommend this place over a unit at the beach anytime. Well done, Rob and Geraldine!

max westerhof: SOOOOOOO MUCH WILDLIFE!!!!!!!!

Sjakie Houben: “This character home is gorgeous - luxuriously comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, 'clean-as-a-whistle' goes without saying and generally just a lovely space to be in. The owner, Rob, was personable and attentive - the sort of person who goes the extra mile to ensure your comfort - yet provided unobtrusive care. Cannot sing the praises of this lovely property enough.”

Andrew Dwight: I used to book this place through AirBnb but you get a better deal from Rob directly. This is a great place to get away, at the same time as enjoy what the beautiful Noosa area has to offer. Ive stayed in many spots in the noosa area but i keep coming back here. There's fishing, mountain bike riding, surfing, shopping, kite surfing and sailing all within 5 minutes.
